The Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA) has a newly formed Sustainable Energy Committee which consists of members interested in energy matters related to water and wastewater treatment. Their first seminar is taking place on Thursday, October 16 at the Eagle Eye Banquet Facility in East Lansing, Michigan. This seminar will serve as a program to introduce the Water Environment Federation's Energy Roadmap, Local Experience, State Energy Office programs, insights from Consumers Energy, and news on the latest equipment developments from exhibitors. It will also feature guest speakers, one of which is Nathan Cassity of Donohue’s Sheboygan office. He will be presenting “Energy Production and Dramatically Moving the Energy/Cost Needle.” His presentation will include info about energy usage trends and analysis of selected case studies.
